"As a singer songwriter Don Scribner takes an educated three pronged approach to country music. He pays tribute to the past, reflects the present and forecasts the future of the genre."

Don Scribner, I Know The Devil (Ore Dock)
Hot on the heels of James Hand's stunning new album The Truth Will Set You Free comes another home run in the country crowd from someone who's seen his share of living and isn't afraid to show it. Scribner wears his heart on his sleeve, allowing the years of lost and found love to shine through loud and clear. He's got a character-filled voice that comes from believing in what you're doing and a backing band that knows exactly what each song needs. These days, it's not easy guessing what style is in or out of favor in Nashville, but artists like Scribner and Hand have a way of blasting right past those concerns, reaching a place where real country lives, played for those who could care less about skin and trends. This is a lonesome sound and whether it will make a dent on Music Row or not is beside the point. Don Scribner is the kind of singer that does this because he has to, not because he wants to, which is exactly why I Know The Devil is such a contender.
